Sørstraumen
Sørstraumen is Norway’s second largest tidal current. Safely aboard our RiB, this trip is a sure way to experience the forces of nature. (This experience is at its very best two days after a full or new moon.) When we have passed Sørstraumen, we continue into Kvænangsbotn to Navitfossen, a waterfall where we visit a restored sawmill and take a break for lunch and coffee.
Further up the fiord, we can see some ancient rock carvings. On the return trip, we pass a variety of Kvænangen’s islands and travel beneath the unique Kvænangen mountain wall.
The tour lasts 6-7 hours.
