Fishing Trips

Kvænangen is the right place if you want to want to experience angling for cod, catfish, haddock, halibut, char, trout or salmon. You can choose between an organised fishing trip with an
experienced guide or try your luck on your own.

We offer day trips or trips of several days’ duration in certified boats with local guides.
Our fishing grounds are located in the Kvænangen Fiord, Lyngen Fiord and the Lopphavet. We normally fish for salmon in the Reisa River. Several lakes are excellent for char and trout fishing.
We are anglers. Our aim is not to catch as many fish as possible, but instead to land a really big
one and offer our guests exceptional service. Several guests return year after year to experience the special atmosphere and big catch.

While we can’t offer any guarantees that you will catch the biggest fish of your life, the chances are high. The “Catch & Release” policy is becoming increasingly common on our fishing trips, but we will gladly serve a few fish for dinner. We would like to draw our overseas visitors’ attention to the law, introduced in June 2006, limiting the export of saltwater fish to 15 kg.

Ask us about fishing tackle and fishing methods. Have you tried fly-fishing for coalfish or cod?
We recommend trips of several day’s duration or even week-long trips.
